          อุทยานการเรียนรู้ TK Park ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และกองกองทุนส่งเสริมงานวัฒนธรรมสวิส (Swiss Cultural Fund) ขอเชิญชมภาพยนตร์ร่วมสมัยนานาชาติจาก Contemporary World Film Series ปี 2024 เรื่อง “TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM)” จากสวิตเซอร์แลนด์

          สืบเนื่องจากการฉายภาพยนตร์ครั้งที่แล้ว↗ เรายังคงอยู่กับโลกภาพยนตร์คอมเมดี้ และสำหรับเดือนตุลาคมนี้ ภาพยนตร์เรื่อง TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM) จะพาคุณบินลัดฟ้าไปยังประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และย้อนยุคไปยังช่วงปี 1970 ที่ผู้หญิงเพิ่งได้รับสิทธิเลือกตั้งระดับรัฐเป็นครั้งแรก

          TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM) หรือแปลไทยได้ว่า ‘รัวกลอง’ กำกับโดย François-Christophe Marzal โดยจะจัดฉายที่อุทยานการเรียนรู้ TK Park ด้วยเสียงต้นฉบับภาษาฝรั่งเศส พร้อมคำบรรยายภาษาอังกฤษ (ไม่มีเสียงพากย์และคำบรรยายภาษาไทย) แนะนำสำหรับผู้ชมอายุ 15 ปีขึ้นไป

          เรื่องราวชุลมุนในภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ เริ่มที่การเตรียมตัวเข้าสู่งานแข่งขันดนตรี Federal Music Fair ของวงดุริยางค์สองวงในเขตชนบทของสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ที่ 5 ปีจะมีแค่ครั้งเดียว การแข่งขันนี้เดิมพันบนข้อขัดแย้งหลายอย่าง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นระหว่างชายสองคนที่แย่งชิงผู้หญิงคนเดียวกัน แนวคิดอนุรักษ์นิยมและแนวคิดก้าวหน้าเรื่องความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ และระหว่างชาวบ้านกับผู้ที่อพยพมาทำงานในหมู่บ้าน ซึ่งประเด็นเหล่านี้ก็ยังเป็นข้อถกเถียงอยู่ในปัจจุบัน ที่ชวนให้เราคำนึงถึงความสงบสุขและความร่วมมือของชุมชน ความเข้มข้นของภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ยังอยู่ที่เพลงที่วงดุริยางค์ทั้งสองเลือกเล่น ที่สะท้อนถึงความแตกต่างระหว่างดนตรีดั้งเดิมและดนตรีแนวใหม่ บวกกับคำพูดและท่าทีของทีมนักแสดงที่ตีบทแตก ก็ยิ่งทำให้ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้เต็มไปด้วยชีวิตชีวา

          การจัดฉายภาพยนตร์เรื่อง TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM) ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ และกองกองทุนส่งเสริมงานวัฒนธรรมสวิส (Swiss Cultural Fund) โดย นายเปโดร สวาห์เลน (H.E. Mr. Pedro Zwahlen) เอกอัครราชทูตสมาพันธรัฐสวิสประจำประเทศไทย จะมากล่าวแนะนำภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ และทางสถานทูตฯ จะจัดบริการอาหารว่างและเครื่องดื่มให้ผู้เข้าชมหลังจบภาพยนตร์

          As TK Park continues the Contemporary World Film Series 2024 for the forth time in October, we are partnering with the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand and the Swiss Cultural Fund for the screening of the renowned Swiss film ‘TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM)’.

          "TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM)" is a multi-layered social comedy film from Switzerland, amalgamating many subjects—music, competition, love, family, and even politics, immigration, and the women’s suffragette movement. The film is directed by François-Christophe Marzal, and will be screened at TK Park in its original French language with English subtitles (no dubbing or Thai subtitles).

          The screening of "TAMBOUR BATTANT (ROLL THE  DRUM)" is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Thailand and the Swiss Cultural Fund. The Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Mr. Pedro Zwahlen will introduce the film. The embassy will provide snacks and drinks for the audience after the screening.

          About the Film: This is a multi-layered social comedy that amalgamates many subjects- music,competition, love, family, and even politics, immigration, and the women’s suffragette movement.

          The Swiss film is set in a fictional, picturesque town of the ‘canton’ (province) of Valais in the 1970’s, where two brass bands are rehearsing, hoping to perform for the Federal Music Fair, which only takes place once every five years.

          In Valais, women also gained the right to vote at the cantonal level for the first time in 1970. This historical event is set against the fictitious tale of the music-competition between the two marching bands, in the lovely Swiss countryside.

          The rivalry between the two bands mirrors other rivalries; between two very different men over a woman, between conservative and progressive views about women's power (gender equality), between the locals of the village and the outsiders who come to work there (immigration-policy). These issues are still very relevant today.

          Even the songs played by the bands reflect the clash between the old and new rhythms. The words and actions fly fast in this vibrant drama, with a marvelous ensemble cast.

          The director of the movie stated that this was the most “memorable” film he had made. He had a strong message in the story—“I firmly believe that if everyone puts in a little bit of effort, we can build a better community.” 

          And that, in essence, is what this multi-dimensional political, musical, amorous Swiss drama is all about.

          “Roll the drum” is a roll-call for peace and unity in the community.
