          Something Like an Autobiography จะจัดฉายที่ศูนย์การเรียนรู้อเนกประสงค์ อุทยานการเรียนรู้ TK Park ชั้น 8 centralwOrld ในวันเสาร์ที่ 25 ตุลาคม 2568 เวลา 16:00 น. (เปิดให้เข้าร่วมงานตั้งแต่ 15:30 น.) ลงทะเบียนล่วงหน้าตามรายละเอียดด้านล่าง โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายในการเข้าชม

         การจัดฉายภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนบังกลาเทศประจำประเทศไทย โดยนายฟัยยาซ มูรชิด กาซี (H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนบังกลาเทศประจำประเทศไทย จะมากล่าวแนะนำภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ และทางสถานเอกอัครราชทูต จะจัดบริการอาหารว่างและเครื่องดื่มให้ผู้เข้าชมหลังจบภาพยนตร์

          Something Like an Autobiography (2023) คือภาพยนตร์ที่เล่าเรื่องชีวิตจริงของผู้กำกับและภรรยา ซึ่งเป็นคู่สามีภรรยาซุปเปอร์สตาร์ของบังกลาเทศ Mostofa Sarwar Farooki ผู้บุกเบิกภาพยนตร์แนว new-wave ของบังกลาเทศ และ Nusrat Imrose Tisha ภรรยาและนักแสดงนำคู่บุญผู้มีชื่อเสียงสูงสุดของประเทศ

          ในช่วงล็อกดาวน์ COVID-19 ทั้งคู่ร่วมกันเขียนบทภาพยนตร์ Something Like an Autobiography ซึ่งอิงจากชีวิตของตนเอง โดยนำชื่อภาพยนตร์มาจากบรรทัดเปิดของหนังสือบันทึกความทรงจำของ Akira Kurosawa ผู้กำกับญี่ปุ่นที่ Farooki ชื่นชมอย่างยิ่ง ในเรื่องนี้ นอกจาก Farooki จะกำกับแล้ว เขายังปรากฏตัวในบทนำชายเป็นครั้งแรก โดยรับบทเคียงคู่กับ Tisha ผู้เป็นภรรยา

          ในเรื่อง Farhan และ Tithi คู่สามีภรรยาใช้ชีวิตอย่างมีความสุขมานานสิบปี แต่ชีวิตสงบสุขเริ่มสั่นคลอนเมื่อคนรอบข้างตั้งคำถามว่าทำไมพวกเขายังไม่มีลูก พวกเขาไม่ยอมตามแรงกดดันทางสังคม แต่ Tithi กลับตั้งครรภ์โดยไม่คาดคิด Farhan เป็นสามีที่เอาใจใส่ และเคมีธรรมชาติระหว่างทั้งคู่คือเสน่ห์สำคัญของภาพยนตร์

          ความสงบสุขของครอบครัวถูกขัดจังหวะด้วยเสียงรบกวนจากเพื่อนบ้าน Farhan ออกไปตรวจสอบและพบว่าเป็นบ้านของมหาเศรษฐีที่เขาเคยวิพากษ์วิจารณ์บนโซเชียลมีเดีย การเรียกร้องคำชี้แจงนำไปสู่การล้างแค้นอย่างอันตราย เมื่อ Farhan ไม่กลับบ้าน Tithi รีบไปสถานีตำรวจ แต่กลับถูกพัวพันในแผนการแก้แค้นของมหาเศรษฐี

          นอกจากนี้ เมื่อปลายปีที่ผ่านมา ผู้กำกับชื่อดังยังได้รับตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษากระทรวงวัฒนธรรมของรัฐบาลชั่วคราวบังกลาเทศ

          ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ได้รับเสียงชื่นชมจากนักวิจารณ์และผู้ชมในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์สำคัญทั่วโลก เช่น Busan (เกาหลี), Mumbai (อินเดีย), Sydney (ออสเตรเลีย) และได้รับความสนใจอย่างล้นหลาม โดยมีฉากเปิดเรื่องที่พัทยา ซึ่ง Farooki เคยมาไทยหลายครั้ง และกล่าวว่า “ที่นี่เหมือนบ้านหลังที่สองของผมจริง ๆ” โดยการฉายที่ TK Park ครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย จึงเป็นโอกาสแสนพิเศษ ที่เขาและภรรยาก็จะเดินทางมาร่วมงานฉายภาพยนตร์ครั้งนี้ด้วย

         TK Park, in partnership the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, invites you to the next screening in the 2025 Contemporary World Film Series: Something Like an Autobiography (2023), a deeply personal and critically acclaimed drama by celebrated Bangladeshi director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.

          The screening will take place at the Learning Auditorium, TK Park, 8th floor, centralwOrld, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 4:00 PM (Auditorium opens at 3:30 PM). Admission is free, but advance registration is required (details below).

          The program is supported by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. H.E. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand, will introduce the film. Following the screening, the Embassy will host a reception with snacks and drinks for all registered guests.

          About the Film

          It is truly rare to encounter a film that is both intimately personal and socially resonant. Something Like an Autobiography is all this, and more.

          The film tells the story of Farhan and Tithi, a celebrity couple who have been happily married for a decade, played by Bangladesh’s real-life film power couple, director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha. During the Covid lockdown, the couple co-wrote the script based on their own experiences. Farooki also appears on screen for the first time as the male lead.

          Their peaceful life is disrupted when societal pressure mounts over their choice to remain childless. Unexpectedly, Tithi becomes pregnant, while new conflicts arise when a neighbor’s loud disturbances lead Farhan into a dangerous confrontation with a powerful oligarch. The film explores the personal, the political, and the social, weaving intimate family drama with broader commentary on society and power dynamics.

          The film has been widely praised at international film festivals, including Busan (Korea), Mumbai (India), and Sydney (Australia). Its Thailand premiere is particularly special, as the opening scene was shot in Pattaya, and Farooki has expressed that Thailand feels like a “second home” to him. Therefore, despite  his busy schedule, Director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and his actress-wife Nusrat Imrose Tisha will attend the film-screening, and present their film.
